75th Members Meeting by Nicole Hains

75th Members Meeting is my favourite of the Goodwood events to photograph as it has a fantastic atmosphere, a lot less people and it is access all areas!

This year it was overcast although not too cold every day, meaning lots of flat light - not my fav at all but never mind. This is probably why I like the evening shoots the best, at least the light was interesting.

Here is just a small selection of images I took and yes that is Mary Berry!

i8 - Rig Image by Nicole Hains

Using Goodwood's Motor Circuit to Photograph this BMW i8 for the Ultimate Driving experience, we used a rig from Rig-Pro to produce this image.

The rig we used here is attached by suction cups, I then added my Canon 1DX with a 24mm lens and a 10 stop ND filter to cut out some of the light and allow a slower shutter speed.

Chris Harris for Goodwood by Nicole Hains

Lately I have had the opportunity to get involved in photographing some exciting projects whilst Chris Harris has been filming with Goodwood for grrc.com.

First on the agenda was Chris testing the Rover SD1 he will be racing at 73rd Members Meeting in March.

My Favourite photo opportunity so far was taking this stunning McLaren P1 into the Boultbee Spitfire hanger; surrounded by Tiger Moths, Chipmunks and the Harvard!

Sneak Peak at the Mclaren P1 post here… Chris Harris's video to follow soon.

On track today by Nicole Hains

Today's Track action included the Sauber F1 test driver, Giedo van der Garde driving the 1963 AC Cobra all in preparation for Goodwood's Revival. We also had an array of other beautiful cars here which all can be seen in the gallery above.

We also welcomed the current BTCC champion, Andrew Jordan to the track. Pictured with his father Mike above they raced their 1958 Austin A40.

CKL Track Day by Nicole Hains

Today our friends from CKL Developments visited Goodwood's Motor circuit to push the cars hard round the track, after all, what the use of having so many outstanding historic race cars if you can't put them to the test!

The most fantastic grid line start with the team and clients of CKL Developments.

The cars on the grid line varied from the Ecurie Ecosse D-type to the Ferrari 250 'Europa' GT and I just couldn't give up the opportunity to go for a drive!

Thank you so much CKL Developments for another fantastic day.

Tom Cruise Visits Goodwood by Nicole Hains

Earlier in the week I got the opportunity to photograph Tom Cruise as he visited Goodwood for a Track day with Lord March. Everyone had a fantastic day as they sped around the Goodwood Motor Circuit in new Ferrari's, McLaren's and Rolls-Royces, to name just a few.

After speeding around the circuit, we then went to visit the Boultbee Flight Academy to get a feel for the Spitfire TR-9.

1956 Jaguar D-Type 'Shortnose' by Nicole Hains

Last week I had the luxury of spending an afternoon at CKL Developments, who specialise in classic and historic Jaguars. CKL are renowned for their incredible talent in restoring historic racing cars with their original panels and parts.

I felt privileged that they gave me the opportunity to be driven in the most spectacular original 1956 Jaguar D-type Shortnose. Often regarded as one of the most desirable of historic racing Jaguars, this D-Type was fantastic to take a spin in on a sunny afternoon.

McLaren 650S Spider by Nicole Hains

What a day!!!!

I spent this sunny afternoon accompanying Nicholas Minassian at Goodwood, doughnutting and completing the hill climb in this stunning Mclaren 650S Spider. Fast would be a huge understatement for my experience in this car, with a top speed of 204mph this will be an unforgettable experience.

Simply Unmissable by Nicole Hains

'Simply Unmissable' is the only term Goodwood can use to describe the first year of the reopened Members' Meeting. The roar of engines, lovely guests and a bustle of excitement filled the Motor circuit for the most spectacular weekend and I feel very lucky to of been there with my team of photographers. The motor circuit saw some of the most precious of motor cars taking on the uniqueness of Goodwood's track for the first time, for example, the 1980's Group 1 racing saloons. Perhaps the glorious weather and the joy of the members built up an atmosphere quite like no other, but one thing is for sure, the 72nd Members's meeting was special for all who were in attendance.

1929 Rolls-Royce Phantom I at Goodwood by Nicole Hains

Formerly the property of Mr Jack Warner of Warner Brothers, the 1929 Rolls-Royce Phantom I convertible Sedan was just about the most expensive car in the world. In fact, he loved this car so much he had a second made for Marlene Dietrich. We don't know for sure who has ridden in the car but it is highly plausible that the likes of Errol Flynn, Clark Gable, Greta Garbo, Douglas Fairbanks, Mae West and Ginger Rogers to name a few. I had the pleasure of photographing this beautiful car today outside the front of Goodwood House.
